An Anthology of Poetry Contributed by the South Carolina Mental Health Community 

Mental Health America of South Carolina is proud to present this thoughtfully curated anthology of poems by contributors across the state of South Carolina whose lives have been touched by mental health concerns. 

From seasoned poets to first-time writers, this collection boasts an authentic look at what it's like to struggle with mental health. Exploring themes of depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, abuse in relationships, and much more, in this volume South Carolina writers courageously share their lived experiences with mental health struggles.

Together, we reflect the resilience and strength that comes with caring for our mental health, and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, knowing we all struggle, face dark times in our lives, and need just the right words to carry us through. May these words offer hope, solidarity, and a deep understanding to all those who read them.
